In the Room
The room was nice, but small.
Even though the room was very smalll, for 40$ a night, it was alright. You get waht you pay for. I switched rooms because there simnply wa sjust not enough room for me. Being 6'4 with a lot of luggage the room just didn tcut it. The staff, was kind of helpful, but the room just wasnt enough. For a single traveler, with little amount of luggage, this would probably be a good place to choose for your stay, but there are plenty of hotels in the area, and for an extra 20-30 bucks you have a lot more choices.
It had a mini fridge.
When we arrived we wanted to shower and rest after our 6 hour drive. Before laying down we noticed the pillows had major drool stains and the towels were dirty and smelled. I took them to the front desk and the owner pleasantly exchanged them for equally dirty towels and pillows. Upon complaining again, I watched him walk to another room to get their towels and pillows to give to me. I voiced my concern again, so he said he would wash everything and bring it to me. While waiting in our room we noticed big liquid stains on the floor, and cigarette burns, lip stick, and black marks in the bed spreads and blankets, as well as a hole punched in the bathroom door, and slimey moldy shower curtains. The owner brought back warm pillows and blankets after 20 minutes (Just put them in the dryer). Luckily we had pillows from our long drive and blankets of our own which we ended up using. We had the do not disturb sign up because we did not want them to change out the half decent towels we got, but when we returned at the end of our day, sure enough they entered and changed them out, which lead to the same routine of exchanging towels again. Everything else was booked in the area that we could afford, or that had the 2 beds we needed, because of the Garlic Festival. The owner could not speak english very well, but seemed to understand my concerns and seemed to try to make things right for us. Judging by the guests we saw there, he probably never had guests who cared about the cleanliness.
It was a quite nice. The location made it good for us to get to our destination in a decent amount of time, and the price is what made our decision to stay there.
